Husky Hustle
Thank you so much for all of your participation in the Husky Hustle. From donating, to turning in your envelope, to cheering us on at the Hustle! We had so much fun in the beautiful weather, hearing the FHN drumline and dancing to get excited for the Hustle! Then we ran and walked as many times as we could! It was definitely a 2nd grade memory for the books!
Reader’s Workshop
This week we started talking about the comprehension piece in reading. We learned that reading is thinking and we need to be sure we are stopping, thinking and then retelling to keep tabs on our comprehension
We practiced doing this when we are by ourselves reading to make sure we are understanding the story! We then took it one step further and realized that we could also use Post-its to record things that we want to remember to share with people later on! You might see your reader at home “stopping and jotting” notes!
Field Trip to Robinettes
On Friday we will have a field trip to Robinettes. Please be sure to get your child to school on time because ours buses will leave at 9:00. We will return in time to have the kids eat at their regular lunchtime in the cafeteria!
